When should I change my vacuum pump exhaust filter ?

When you happened follow 3 situation ,you must change your vacuum pump exhaust filter :

1. When the pressure gauge reading is in the red area, it means that the oil mist separator filter  for vacuum pump is blocked and the exhaust  filter must be replaced. If there is no oil mist separator pressure gauge, then the resistance of the oil mist separator is measured by the change of the current of the driving motor. When the current consumed by the driving motor or the vacuum pump flow rate   drops, it means that the vacuum pump oil mist filter   is blocked. You need   cleaning and maintenance vacuum pump or replacement  filter element.

2. If the gas discharged from the oil mist filter of  vacuum pump contains oil. There are have two reasons. One is that the  vacuum pump exhaust oil mist  filter   blocked. Second is that the oil mist separator filter element is damaged. You must change your exhaust filter for vacuum pump to new.

3. If the pressure of the pressure gauge on the oil mist separator is lower than usual, or the current consumed by the drive motor is less than usual. It is possible that the oil mist separator filter element is damaged and the vacuum pump oil mist filter needs to be replaced.

When the oil mist filter of the vacuum pump cannot be cleaned thoroughly, the blocked oil mist filter must be replaced.

One thing to pay attention to when replace the oil mist filter of  vacuum pump: before replace the oil mist filter, turn off the vacuum pump and cut off the power  and  ensure that the vacuum pump is connected to the outside air.
